Antiques are very special. They make a unique, decorative accessory for the home. Many of our boxes & accessories are functional as well as decorative, and can be used for their original purpose, giving great value for money. They generally hold their value & have history, so are a good investment. They're a great talking point and make a unique, luxury gifts that are not for sale on the high street!

About Us

Hampton Antiques was born in November 1998, created by partners Mark and Sara Goodger following Mark’s redundancy from a well-respected antique restorer & dealer. Our first sale was on a very cold, dark Saturday morning in the winter of 1998, from a tiny stall on the famous Portobello Road in London. We no longer sell there but we have many happy memories of Portobello and some very interesting stories to tell! As our business has grown, we now concentrate on selling our wares online and at the UK’s major antiques fairs.

About Sara

Mark has worked in the antiques trade since 1988. He is a qualified Cabinet Maker & French Polisher but found his passion & strength in antiques and restoration, and boxes in particular. His loves are antiques, family-life, music, keeping fit, and football (he supports Manchester United, but please don’t hold that against him!). He is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to antique boxes which comes from years of experience of buying and working on them.

About Sara

With a background in admin & customer services, Sara helps out in the office now & then, and makes the odd appearance at exhibitions. She also works in fashion retail, loves vintage & current fashion, electronica music and walking the family's mad dog.
