Antique Writing Box, veneered in lovely figured walnut with with brass straps and corners for extra strength and durability, has two brass escutcheons and a pair of screw top inkwells.

The interior of this Victorian Writing Box opens to reveal a pen tray, inkwell, nib holder, burgandy leather with gold tooling writing surface.

Opening the writing surface near the pentray reveals storage for letters documents and where the secret compartment can be revealed, to open it you pull up on the divider nearest the inkwell then the sprung cover reveals two secret drawers with bone handles. The other writing surface when opened also reveals more storage area.

This antique writing box comes with a fully working lock, inkwells and tasselled key.
