Description

Oak Tantalus with three crystal hobnail decanters with faceted stoppers & star cut bases, all housed in this superb oak & silver plated frame which has a patentented locking mechanism by GRINSELLS of Birmingham who were known for lockable Spirit Decanters and similar receptacles for liquids.


This Antique Tantalus comes with a fully working lock and tasseled key.


Instructions on how to lock & unlock the Tantalus as follows.


1) Place the Key into the sprung barrell escutcheon, turning the key clockwise opens the Grinsells patentented lockable flaps.


2) To Lock the Tantalus turn the key anticlockwise this will allow you then to push down on the spring flaps which will then lock the decanters inplace, then turn the key back to its original position as when you first pushed into the spring barrell and remove key.
