Regency Writing Box made of solid Mahogany veneered in stunning Indian Rosewood, its bound with brass & inlaid with decorative brass Greek Key inlay to the top & front. The regency slope has two campaign flush fitting side handles with a full length dovetailed side drawer, secret compartment with three drawers and has two candle sconces.

The interior of this Antique Rosewood Writing Box has a lockable black leather writing surface with Greek Key gold tooling which matches the exterior of the box on the back of the larger writing surface has its original green ribbon for holding caling cards or letters, after unlocking the smaller writing surface you can then access the secret drawers this is done by removing the left ink well, placing your thumb on the bottom right and your fingers to the other side of the sloping knib compartment squeezing the bottom with more pressure from your thumb will release the sprung cover revealing three secret drawers, all of which are veneered in rosewood with turned bone handles and each drawer has tiny dovetailed joints.

The Writing Box also has its original candle sconces hidden underneath the right hand cover, a sloping knib compartment and a pentray, its fitted with two brass screw top Crown inkwells which are stamped Jones & Tresise London

Regency Writing Box comes with two fully working locks and tasselled keys.
